Massage chair eases the pain of delivery process

Unfortunately, I could not find a Costco warehouse that had this chair in stock to try it before I wanted to buy it, but it was available to try at our state fair. Costco‘s price is $3000 less than what the company is selling the chair for! Additionally, 2% back with my executive membership and another 2% back using Costco Visa. Score! Compared to other chairs we tried, my family agreed that this one was worth paying the extra money for instead of chairs with limited features that were 1/3 to 1/2 the price. Costco‘s great pricing made this chair available for us!

We always use the Bluetooth feature to stream our own music, meditation or prayer while using the chair. The heat setting isn’t super hot, but it’s enough to be a relief. We’re still getting used to the multitude of massage settings, but well needed since some days require a beating style massage and sometimes just a gentle touch. Other chairs we’ve tried were more of a spot massage, like those chairs at the nail salon that don’t always hit the right spots, but feel decent.

This chair completely covers the body with massage and adjusts to different body types.

I am 5‘6“, my son is 6’3” and we both get a comfortable full body massage from this chair. At first, it was overwhelming that the chair offers so much; it has taken some getting used to and experimenting with comfort levels and massage styles. The included book has helped with descriptions of the different massage styles and features. The pushy sales rep who talked to us at our state fair said that if I bought through them, they would include a free in-home demo service that Costco would have to charge $450 for. Costco did not charge $450, they did not provide an in person, in-home demo service, but for us a demo service was not necessary.

The preferred delivery vendor was a disaster. The Email link to view delivery status updates was broken, but when I called the delivery company they corrected it. Delivery updates were not forthcoming or helpful. The company did Email saying that I would receive a call with updates closer to the scheduled delivery date, that did not happen. I called the company the day of the scheduled delivery because the delivery was over an hour late. OSHA violations all over the place when the delivery truck arrived. Two guys, each about 5’8” and maybe 150 pounds, hand drug the boxed chair out of the delivery truck upside down, unboxed it on the dirt ground and flopped it on its side to attempt to lift/drag the chair into my home. No back belts for lifting, no two wheel cart, no lift straps and they refused to use the path of least resistance to get the chair into my home. They damaged the chair and broke my entryway door. Human Touch is very clear on how this chair should be delivered and the directions are simple to follow. It was painfully evident that the delivery guys did not know and did not follow the directions. I called the delivery company while these two guys were moving the chair into my home. All they asked was if I refused the delivery or if I spoke with the delivery guys about the damage. The delivery guys would not speak to me, just shoved an iPad and a piece of paper in my face to sign. I chose to speak to them in their preferred language (don’t read too much into this, I am not one of those speak English or get the F out people) and ask what they would do about the delivery damage. Both the person on the phone as well as the delivery drivers did nothing about the damage. They said they would let Human Touch deal with it. I am still not clear if this delivery company was at the choice of Costco or Human Touch. Regardless, I leave all this information to make future buyers beware.

Human Touch called expeditiously, asked about the damage, requested if I could take pictures and promised to correct the damage. They said they would immediately UPS ship to me what was damaged and coordinate with a technician to fix the damage. I have the UPS ship confirmation and I’m waiting for contact from the technician to coordinate a time to come to my home for the repair. So far, in spite of the horrible delivery experience, the chair and the company seem worth it!
